As one of the top and largest universities in science and technology in Thailand, KMITL accommodates more than 18,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students altogether in all Faculties. The numbers of students have increased each year with the highest figure of the Faculty of Engineering.

Presently, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang consists of 7 Faculties with the aims to produce qualified graduates at bachelor's, master's and doctor's degree levels, to advance research and development in science and technology for the industrial and economic development of Thailand, and to instill students with morality and virtuousness under the philosophy of 'morality ahead of knowledge'.
